Fall yet again.

My favorite part of the year is here. Fall. I personally think all the editorials that magazines shoot for fall season are the best. Maybe it's the fact on how fall fashion can be so versatile and the art of using layers. Layers that can include many styles and elements to create the perfect outfit. I gathered my favorite editorials from September that I saw in magazines around the world. What are your inspirations or favorite editorials of the season?

As you may know winter formals and some graduations are comming by the end of the year. I was contacted by http://instyledress.co.uk/ I took a look to the store and I need to say that their dresses are more couture and different from other special ocasion dresses companies. You can find homecoming, prom, special ocasion, cocktail and many style of dresses. Here you can take a look to my elections of dresses from the store. Take a look and share your favorite dresses.

My life as a fashion intern: L'Officiel México

Part 1

Hello my lovelies. As you know earlier on 2015 I got an opportunity to be an intern on a fashion magazine;L'Officiel México. To start with this narration I will like to tell you how all this thing went on. In my highschool each year we have specific programs to realize between semesters. This year I did a "work week". Basically what this is about is getting a job that you will like for your future. This case a fashion magazine was my fisrt option. After making research and stalking to get e-mails and contacts I finally found a personal e-mail for Pamela Ocampo, the editor-in-chief. After writting e-mails back and forth for weeks I got the yes to the opportunity. If you didn't know I'm living in Guadalajara, Jalisco. This was the first problem I faced since the job was in Distrito Federal. We are talking of 8 hours of roadtrip or 45 minutes by airplane. Thank God to my parents this wasn't a problem, but at the moment I was 17, I knew nobody at that big and cosmopolitan city, didn't knew the streets the zone and to be sinciere I wasn't as independent as required for moving to that city under the circunstances. Anyway with a little help of my parents we managed the situation to get me there. I knew I could get experience and great learnings with that experience. So I did. I took the opportunity and flight on Sunday to get there.

MONDAY

To be honest I was nervous since it was a whole new experience for me. I didn't know what to expect neither what to do. In Sunday night I got an e-mail with some of the duties I was assigned. Monday in the morning I went to the office and met Gabriela Camberos the editoral coordinator. She basically introduced me to the staff and the work. I felt related to her, she lived in Guadalajara and started a magazine (A magazine) which is a fashion magazine for an elite mall in Guadalajara. Samuel that goes to my same school got a job there. That day I met the other editors but I will talk about them later. This day work was about learning how the magazine works. Each page has their purpose. Bealive it or not all magazines have their structure and pattern from page one to the back cover. From the colors, the content, distribution, everything has is place, order and connection. My duties for that day were doing research from it girls and their contacts to trends, translating archives and external content.I need to say that day I did a very basic investigation on the it girls. By basic I mean horrible. That was my principal learning that day. On fashion industry and on systems like L'Officiel you need to look deeper and new. So from having Chiara Ferragni in the list I ended having Laura Remington (The new it girl). Thinking out of the box and looking deeper was what I learnt that day.

THURSDAY

This day was like a normal day on the office. My duties that day were doing a transcription of a spoken interview, since I was a client working with the magazine I did this powerpoint presentation of my opinion of the magazine. That day all the crew was getting prepared for a photoshoot for the next day. My main work there consisted on getting the e-mails from the it girls. I also learned how the selling ad buissness plus how the head-quarters at Paris work. Basically in Paris is the cuality control, they gave the team some topics and material to include and then they completed the magazine with their own content. Other thing as well was how all the international magazines from L'Officiel can trade photoshoots or articles which I thought it was amazing buissiness and teamwork. That day I only worked half day because I went to know the D.F. I wanted to sleep well, tomorrow I will attended to the photoshoot.

WEDNESDAY

This was the day of the photoshoot. I hard thing that I learnt from the D.F and from any big city. TRAFFIC IS A MESS. I arrived a little bit late to the shoot. But, it was ok. My uber driver make it fast, but I forgot my phone. Things that morning were crazy. So The photoshoot we did that day was the 'photomaton' for a style section of the magazine. We were shooting all shoes. To be specific spring high-heels. Inés was the model for that day. So the shoot starts with a pre-procuction which was encharge by Gustavo. I didn't see that process. The day I met Gustavo was that day. He just arrived from Brazil. So the next step was that Marian and Gustavo with some help of Ines they went up to Saks and choose many pair of shoes. Then Marian and Gustavo started choosing the final 9. They were Amaizing Gucci shoes and horrible Dolce shoes. They finally choose the 9. A thing I learnt that day was that all pieces needed to coordinate and have a thing in common. The nine shoes together should be different but from the style and brand variated. But the concept should be the same. So some amazing shoes didn't make the cut. The photos were by Cuauhtémoc Garcia. So here you can see the shoot.

Mermaids in fall

ph. by Samuel Cervantes
skirt from ZARA, Boots from Bershka, shirt is DIY.

I can only found one negative point to fall. The fact of wearing the amazing stuff you found on the SS sales. But every problem has a solution. I found this in ZARA for sale. It's a piece not a very mexican-girl style. But, it took my complete attention on the contrast with the chiffon pleats and the sequins. If mermaids had legs they will wear this skirt. So how to style the rest? Add neutrals, a pair of boots and a coat. The simple solution to the next everyday problem. How will you style your summer items and make them FW appropiate? Xx

How to steal your moms closet: 10 things to look in it.

Since little every little girl had a favorite game, dressing up with your mother clothes. No dought since little you saw that dress that you want so bad or asked your mother to lend you some ring or blouse. As well as asking her advide. At the end of the day before going out in your teenage years is your last filter and the opinion I actually care the most. In this experiment I went to my moms closet and pick my favorite pieces. For the making of this article I used a "white canvas" outfit which consist of a t-shirt and a jumper with some flats, so every piece I used could match with the outfit. Just keep in mind that with vintage pieces or your mothers clothes your styling options are endless.

1- JEWERLY!
The first thing I looked in my mothers closet. No dought your mom will have this amazing rings and pieces she has collected over her years and marriage. In this foto I show you the rings she bought when she was 20, Her aunt necklace, the pearl wuth gold detail and Bangles my sister brought her from Brasil.

2-Sweaters
A basic piece, you should have a sweater on your closet. What mothers sweaters have in special is that they are clasic, timeless and probably they aren't a forever 21 cotton material, in fact they are cashmere or the softest cotton in the world. The grey sweater is from Ann Taylor and the dark beige is from Donna Karan.

3- BAGS,BAGS,BAGS
The stapples of the dressing up game. Mothers usually have nice purses that comparing mine with they are classic, they match everything and just adds a pretty element and extra points to any outfit. While mine are just maybe little, metalic and fun. But, sometimes a clasic element adds the final touch, expensiveness or class every outfit should have. Both purses are Calvin Klein.

4-Dressy Dresses
Like the bags my mom has more elegant, classic and conservative dresses. It's crazy to think about how many times my moms dresses have saved my image on others spaces. I love my sundresses and little dresses and its amazing how well you can dress them up or down, but sometimes you require more than that. Beautifuol dresses, elegant look.

5-"This is what I wore on the 70's"
Your mother was young too. I found funny when I'm looking my magazines and my mom tells me "I used to wear that kind of dresses when I was 20". The 70's was the youth years for my mother so the fact of having those pieces that are legitimate vintage pieces that adds a wonderful and history touch to your outfit. Other wise maybe they aren't vintage, but they are inspired o they remind them of something in the past. Both white pieces and the pastel yellow shirt are vintage and the colorful inspires shirt is from LOFT.

6-Beauty Products
Beauty products are something that caughts every girl attention. Your mother by this years should have holy grail products, her favorite perfume from her early years, amaizing face care products (especially for removing dry cells.)No dought your mom has the greatest beauty products.

7-Jackets
A Jacket is what I usually steal from anyone closet. The Outerwer just adds the base and sometimes the focous piece. In here the raincoat is from Calvin Klein, the blazer is from Donna Karan, the leather jacket is from Kenneth Cole and the burgundy zip up is vintage.

8-Blouses
A Blouse somethig that works for any age, plus they are flattering for any shape. Just style them the best way to add a little bit of dressing up to any outfit. All blouses shown here are from loft, but the pink button up is Ralph Lauren.

9-Your Grandma's stuff
The stuff you think are the prettiest among everything. In my case my mother only has the remaining vintage jewerly she have her. My grandma used to have a greeat taste on earrings. All pieces are vintage.

10-Things from her past trips
What is better than souvenirs? Well, fashion souveniers. It's incredible and so fun to transform pices with culture into your own style. Both withe tunic and skirt are from Greece and the scarf is from India.

At the end of the day your mom represents a part of your style. One more proof that mothers are amazing. What would be your steal pieces?Xx

P.D Happy night mom!

New In

One of the best things that happen every summer beside rain is sale. Finally I can be able to purchase all the items I wanted for the price of two. My recent trip was to ZARA where I got some stuff all just embroidered. It's kind of an addiction. All of this was 1,300 pesos or about 130 USD approximately. What could be your next buys?Xx
